Parish Trip to The Philippines April 2007
The Lenten Campaign for 2007 was to raise money to build houses within the Gawad Kalinga project in The Philippines. As a culmination of the campaign a group of parishioners visited The Philippines from 9th-21st April 2007. A major highlight of the trip was the day spent at Kalinga Escalante to see the work in progress and to hand over the cheque from the parish. Our parish in the end collected a grand total of around 24,000 euro, a sum doubled by the Dutch government which means 48 houses can be built.
